QuartzDevs is a senior software engineering partner for web, mobile, and AI-powered products. We're a 10-person core team based in Hungary and Romania, working with clients like Volvo, GoStudent, Save the Children, and funded startups, either embedded in their teams or delivering products end-to-end. The role

You'll design, build, and ship full-stack products, from Figma handoff to production. That means frontend interfaces, backend APIs, integrations, and increasingly, AI-driven features: LLM integrations, chatbots, RAG pipelines, agents, and workflow automation. You'll work directly with client stakeholders, participate in code reviews, and help shape technical decisions.

“AI-forward” cuts both ways here: you build AI features into products, and you work AI-first yourself. Tools like Cursor, Claude, and Copilot are part of how we deliver, not a novelty.

What we're looking for

• 4+ years of full-stack experience with our core stack: React, Next.js, TypeScript, Node.js (NestJS a plus)
• Solid with PostgreSQL; experience with Supabase is a strong plus
• Hands-on with cloud and deployment: AWS, Vercel, or Azure
• Experience building or integrating LLM-powered features (OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar APIs), or demonstrable ability to get there fast
• Comfortable working from Figma handoffs; product sense and user-centric thinking
• Strong English and confidence in client-facing communication; you'll present your own work
• Based in Hungary or Romania, able to work independently in a remote contract setup
• Bonus: React Native, micro-frontend architecture, or coded design system experience

The role

You'll own the AI layer of client products end to end: retrieval architecture, embeddings and vector search, prompt design, evaluation, and guardrails. You'll work with our full-stack engineers to ship these features to production, not just prototype them in a notebook, and you'll make the cost, latency, and reliability tradeoffs that come with running LLM systems for real users.

What we're looking for

• 3+ years of software engineering experience, with hands-on production experience shipping RAG, agents, or fine-tuned LLM features, not only prototypes
• Strong Python; comfortable enough with TypeScript/Node.js to integrate with our core web stack
• Practical experience with vector databases and retrieval (pgvector, Pinecone, Weaviate, or similar) and embedding models
• Familiarity with LLM APIs and frameworks: OpenAI, Anthropic, LangChain/LlamaIndex, or comparable
• Understanding of evaluation, guardrails, and cost/latency tradeoffs for production LLM systems
• Comfortable working directly with clients to turn vague AI requirements into shipped features
• Based in Hungary or Romania, able to work independently in a remote contract setup
• Bonus: experience with agentic workflows, fine-tuning, or MLOps tooling

The role

You'll build and maintain complex, design-system-driven React interfaces, turning Figma handoffs into fast, accessible, production-grade UI. You'll own frontend architecture, state and data-fetching patterns, and UI performance, working directly with clients and backend engineers.

What we're looking for

• 4+ years building production React applications with TypeScript
• Deep React and Next.js (App Router) knowledge: Server Components, SSR/SSG/ISR, and route handlers
• Strong CSS and component architecture: Tailwind CSS, plus headless or component libraries (Radix UI, shadcn/ui, MUI, or Mantine)
• Confident with modern data fetching and state: TanStack Query or SWR, and pragmatic state management (Context, Zustand, or Redux Toolkit)
• Care for accessibility (WCAG), Core Web Vitals, and design-system consistency
• Comfortable working AI-first with tools like Cursor, Claude, and Copilot
• Based in Hungary or Romania, able to work independently in a remote contract setup
• Bonus: React Native, animation (Framer Motion), or coded design-system experience

The role

You'll own growth for QuartzDevs and BuildAID end to end: designing and running experiments across content, SEO, outbound, partnerships, and paid channels, and turning what works into a repeatable pipeline of qualified leads. This isn't a "run some ads" role; you'll dig into the positioning, funnels, and channels that actually make sense for a niche B2B service business.

What we're looking for

• Track record of growing agencies, consultancies, or other B2B service businesses, not only DTC/e-commerce growth
• Comfortable owning the full funnel: positioning, content and SEO strategy, outbound, partnerships, and paid experiments
• Data-driven: you set up tracking, measure what matters, and kill what doesn't work
• Strong written English and the ability to write or brief high-quality content yourself
• Self-directed, comfortable proposing and running experiments with minimal oversight
• Bonus: experience marketing dev shops, MVP studios, or technical consultancies

You'll work directly with our team on marketing for QuartzDevs and BuildAID: drafting blog posts and case studies, preparing LinkedIn and social content, assisting with SEO and on-page content updates, researching competitors and target industries, and helping run small growth experiments. You'll see how a real B2B engineering brand is built, not shadow a large team doing busywork.

What we're looking for

• Currently studying or recently graduated in marketing, communications, business, or a related field
• Strong written English and an eye for clear, engaging copy
• Genuine curiosity about B2B and tech marketing; comfortable researching unfamiliar topics
• Basic familiarity with SEO, social media, or content tools, or eagerness to learn fast
• Reliable, proactive, and comfortable taking ownership of small projects

You'll support our founders and lead engineers with the day-to-day admin that keeps the business running: managing calendars and scheduling client calls, inbox triage, preparing documents and light research, coordinating between clients, contractors, and the team, and keeping our tools (Notion, Slack, Google Workspace) organized.

What we're looking for

• Excellent written English and clear, professional communication
• Highly organized and proactive, comfortable managing multiple priorities with minimal supervision
• Comfortable with common tools: Google Workspace, Notion, Slack, and calendar/scheduling tools
• Discreet with sensitive client and business information
• Prior experience supporting founders, executives, or small teams remotely is a strong plus
